They say good things come in threes, and that certainly proves to be the case with the bevy of exciting news delivered by Orange Botswana and Odirile “Vee Mampeezy” Sento.

The two brands partnered to celebrate, first and foremost, a renewed partnership in which the entertainment star, Vee, continues to serve as the brand ambassador for Orange Botswana in what is likely the most successful brand ambassadorship deal in recent years in Botswana.

Secondly, Vee delighted fans with the announcement of his new album, aptly titled “Grace” after his beloved wife. And as if this was not already reason to celebrate, Orange Botswana and Vee brought further excitement in the form of the launch of the Orange Halona Smartphone.

Vee relieved that his album will be headlined by two songs Testify and True Lover. The first song talks about the jealousy of those who discourage others from trying to fulfil their potential be implying they are not good enough. If you are single they say you cannot find a man. They are continuously negative and like to undermine others revealed Vee.

The other reminds people that God is our true lover. He never fails us event when our earthly friends will always let us down.

“I felt I needed to calm down in this album. I was coming in for a lot of criticism. My only prayer was that I should not lose Orange sponsorship,” observed Vee.

Vee went through a barren two years between 2016 and 2018 with his work dominated by his involvement in Orange Road Shows and the Male Circumcision campaign. He did not release an album during this period and took time out after his involvement in sponsors activities to retire to his farm in Ruretse and unleash his creative juices and silence his growing band of doubters.

The night of festivity, hosted at Gourmet Grill in the heart of the CBD, was graced by Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs, Honourable Dorcus Makgato. The clear theme, apparent for all to see and indeed feel, was itself a tri-blend of great things: partnership, progress and Botswana talent. The harmony between two such successful brands made for a jovial night, celebrating the unwavering passion of what matters most to Batswana.

A testament to the power of Vee is the Orange Halona Smartphone, an affordable, 3G capable, mobile device. It boasts a 3.5inch LCD screen and 2-megapixel camera, yet is considerably lower priced compared to other similar products on the market. As the face of the Orange Halona, Vee encourages uptake of smartphones in today’s smart economy.

Vee remarked, “Orange Botswana has always made me feel like a part of the family, and now, as we cement our second consecutive year of me as their brand ambassador, we also grow what we as two great Botswana brands can do together.”

He said, “This is an incredible night: extended partnership, new album, and the launch of the Halona. This is what matters most to me: working together and partnering for growth of local talent for Batswana!”

Orange Botswana continues to champion active support for local talent, also confirming on the night that the brand will now play a greater role in the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) efforts of the Vee Foundation, which focuses on developing young talent.
