Orange Botswana Friday announced the winner of the Orange Botswana 4G competition, launched in March last year.
“As Orange Botswana, we are privileged and honoured to be able to empower our fellow Batswana with something so central to our daily lives: an ability to communicate, be it through voice or through data,” said Lame Madiba, Orange Botswana, Marketing and Communications Manager.
She said, “The latter must not be underplayed, for through data consumption, we do not only find ourselves able to communicate across a number of platforms, but have the ability to share and consume information.”
Orange Botswana believes that connectedness allows Batswana to be an educated and informed Nation, with an enhanced ability to achieve the innovation progress as articulated in the UN SDGs.
Technological progress is paramount in the national effort as a society to finding lasting solutions to socio-economic progress.
“The 4G competition proposition was clear. Customers were encouraged to visit any Orange Botswana store anywhere in the country and switch their 3G sim card to a 4G sim card for free and automatically be entered into the competition to Win a trip to Maun for 4 people for 4 days,” said Madiba.
She said, “Entries were indeed plentiful, and the 4 lucky participants you see in front of us here today are the shortlisted. Today we draw the name of our grand prize winner, as well as that of the runners up, who will not go home empty handed.”
