The Registrar and Master of High Court has announced the appointment of three (3) private attorneys namely Abel Walter Modimo, Ms Patient Samukelo Thuto and Martin Letsweletse Dingake as designate Acting Senior Assistant Masters of the High Court in Gaborone. The appointment is for three (3) months
“The appointment of the three (3) designate Acting Senior Assistant Masters is the culmination of the Administration of Justice (AOJ) and Law Society of Botswana’s partnership directed at reducing the backlog of cases in the Master’s Office,” said Michael Motlhabi, Registrar and Master of the High court.
He said, “The public is further informed that the three (3) designate Acting Senior Masters, will subscribe to Oath of Office on the 1st April 2020. Instead of conducting a Roll Call of cases allocated to them, they will on Monday 6th April 2020 issue Rolls showing slots of about five cases spread through the day.”
Attendance at these sessions before the designate Acting Senior Assistant Masters is limited to people with direct interest only; such as heirs, beneficiaries, legatees etc. and their legal representations.
The public is notified to access the information on the list and extracts on details of the cases on the Roll Call at the Notice Boards at the High Court Divisions, Magistrates Courts, District Commissioners and on the Administration of Justice Website; www.justice.co.bw
