Despite the negative impact of COVID-19 and countrywide lockdown restrictions that were vigorously implemented to contain escalation of the pandemic Fairground Holdings remains a viable business.

Ms Gorata Gabaraane, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Fairground Holdings, said “The lifting of the State of Emergency(SOE) has pumped a new lease of life into most businesses especially one like ours which was heavily impacted.”

She said, “The experience of the pandemic has surely triggered new thinking and new ways of doing things. If it’s not about shifting core business, it would be about changing processes of the same business so that they can deliver better results.”

Fairground Holdings insists it is committed to providing patrons with events boasting a wealth of content and delivering exciting new value add events. One such event is the recently relaunched Pork and Rib specials aptly called the Rib and Wine promotion which begun again on Monday this week. A number of other events will soon be rolled out.

“In the coming months we will be taking to market a number of new events and enhancing existing ones, most of which have been conceptualized internally whilst the minority will be based on partnerships with other entities,” said Gabaraane.

Fairground Holdings has announced that Botswana Consumer Fair will be hosted from Monday 29th August to Sunday 4th September 2022.
