In a landmark development Botswana’s homegrown LED light manufacturing company, the Bulb World continues to grow in its expansion into the Southern African market with a lucrative deal to supply Shoprite stores in South Africa.
The company is expected to begin supplying Shoprite on 1st June 2022 and will be listing its A60 range, which is the normal household light with the whole range comprising 14 lines.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ketshephaone Jacob says they will on average supply stores with 3 boxes amounting to R1587.000, with each box containing 50 lights.
“This will be to 1300 stores. The expansion into South Africa is going well, we have so far managed to list and supply several stores in the north east market to name a few, Batho CC wholesalers, Best Build, Best Buy Hyper, Lite N Stile,” said Jacob.
