The winners of the first round of the competition are Kefilwe Mothusi, Ditshwanelo Tshekiso, Victor Radikgobati, Phepheng Phepheng, Phetso Molokwe, Osenotse Motsomi, Kenneth Bush Moremi, Masa Vicks Kgopana, Lebogang Malebye and Margaret Lekwape.
Thabo Modise, BTC Head of Brand Management Thabo Modise maintained that the exciting, revamped recharge to win competition has been brought back to acknowledge loyal customers.
“We decided to award the first batch of winners during “Black Friday” as the mood for rewarding loyal customers is high and we wanted to honour our promise to our customers to deliver exciting summer offers this season,” said Modise.
Modise stated that the competition is part of the “Tsala tsa Summa” campaign through which BTC made a commit to delight customers with amazing offers and competitions to reward them for choosing the BTC brand as their connectivity partner.
He added that to take part in the competition, customers simply have to recharge with P100.00, dial *180# and follow instructions to opt into the competition, “we want our customers to choose to be part of the competition and not be entered into the competition automatically.”
He explained that another new addition to the competition is that both mobile and fixed customers stand a chance to win after recharging and opting in. He concluded by congratulating the winners and encouraging all users to recharge and win.
One of the lucky winners, Ms Lebogang Malebye stated that she was “excited to win the P10,000 courtesy of BTC.” She stated that she normally recharges with P100 or more when she travels to South Africa as she discovered that BTC Mobile has cheaper rates to call or even roam in the country.
She added that after recharging she received a prompt to opt into the competition and she did so, only to receive a call announcing that she had won herself the prize money. She stated that this win is special to her as it is the first time ever in her life to enter a competition and win.
Kefilwe Mothusi, the youngest amongst the winners stated that he will use the cash prize to go back to school and do a heavy machinery course as he envisions himself working in the mines. He stated that the prize will go a long way in assisting him to fulfil his dreams.
The 10 lucky winners all thanked BTC for the competition and stated that they will use the cash wisely especially that they won during the festive season.
BTC customers stand a chance to win themselves the grand prize on a monthly basis by buying P100.00 worth of airtime and opting into the competition as the competition is expected to come to an end by end of April 2023.
