Orange Money has partnered with BSE listed FSG Funeral Services Parlor to launch a bill payment system that will enable Batswana to pay their premiums in a hassle-free manner, through the *145# Orange Money menu. Since its introduction in 2011 Orange Money has helped companies to collect premiums and payments with its hassle-free service called Bill Payments.
This service allows small to large companies to collect monthly premiums or payments using Orange Money. During this pandemic most companies found it difficult to collect payments because of movement restrictions and social distancing, with this platform service providers can rest assured that customers will be able to fulfill their monthly obligations with Orange Money.
“Orange Money is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience, both through solutions that help Batswana connect with those that matter most to them, easily, conveniently and affordably, and through sound service delivery. This partnership will indeed bring our customers closer to the things that matter most to them,” said Tebogo Moribame-Setiko, Head of Sales FSG.
She said, “A dignified sendoff is the final token of appreciation that family gives to its loved ones, and we are more than pleased to be able to help them do so with ease, from the comfort of their own homes.”
This partnership will allow both FSG and Orange Money to leverage their strengths to contribute positively to the lives of Batswana, particularly the unbanked, who will not have to travel long distances to Orange Botswana service centres to make their premium payments, but will do so from the convenience of their phones wherever they are.
Today’s launch demonstrates FSG’s commitment to the economic and social development of Botswana. FSG has been concerned by the myriad of challenges facing our customers, as access to available payment platforms was limited and the company made strides to close this gap.
Orange Botswana customers will now have payment access to a suite of products and services including funeral insurance schemes and other funeral-related services through the Orange Money platform. This will also give us an opportunity to decongest our service centres thereby supporting the COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
All this is in line with our vision to be recognised as the premier funeral service provider locally and regionally through the provision of exceptional customer service and innovative products and solutions, a Vision that we intend to pursue even in these difficult times of COVID-19.
“Our vision, is to develop and transform the lives of Batswana by continuing to be a reliable and trustworthy partner in their times of need. We know and we have always known that this is not an easy task; but our commitment to delivering on this vision is unwavering,” said Onalethata Motswagole, Orange Money Director Commercial and Operations, Onalethata Motswagole
