Orange Money continues to enhance its service offerings with a view towards even greater convenience and inclusion, indeed adapting with the fast pace of the ever-changing digital world. As part of the network’s commitment to improving the lives of Batswana, Orange Botswana is thrilled to announce the launch of the enhanced Orange Money App, an upgrade of the existing App and now with more advanced and adaptable features.
The Orange Money App was introduced in 2017 and has since come a long way in delivering innovative ways for customers to manage accounts and payments. In addition to new features and functionality now added, the App has also been given a new look to make it more appealing and user-friendly for customers.
Seabelo Pilane, Orange Money Chief Executive Officer(CEO) said “The launch of the enhanced Orange Money App is a moment of pride for us, as it reinforces our core values of consistently bettering customer experience for Batswana. This further strengthens our resolve to be Botswana’s first choice in mobile money transactions. We continue to work towards improving our digital capabilities with the sole aim of satisfying our customers, ensuring innovation and inclusion is always at the heart of what we do.”
The enhanced Orange Money App provides customers access to all their favorite services such as: money transfer, electricity purchases, data bundle & airtime purchases, Insurance Premium Payments, Dstv subscription, Water Bills payments, Loan Repayment as well as International Money transfer. Additionally, customers will be able to sync their mobile phonebook to the App, eliminating the error of entering contacts incorrectly when making payments.
This same function will be used when recharging for others. Moreover, customers will be able to make transactions using the Siri feature on their iPhone, be able to make phone calls and send SMSes while on the App, pay receiver service fees as well as locate Orange Botswana shops and contact details. As a teaser to our customers, partners and the market in general, the app will provide a view of upcoming services and capabilities they’ll soon have access to. The Orange Money App will be available to customers to use for free. The App is zero rated; customers will be able to access and use the App even if they don’t have data.
“This is evolution continues to put us ahead in the country’s mobile financial services sphere. Our products and service portfolio has grown tremendously since the inception of our mobile money services in the country. We continue to work to deliver not only firsts but significant and tangible developments that add value for our customers. Our promise is to continue to find more ways to empower Batswana through our services,” concluded Pilane.
Throughout the past ten years of existence, Orange Money has strived to meet Batswana’s financial needs for reliable, convenient and inclusive mobile financial services. This commitment remains firm. Orange Money is dedicated to providing Batswana with innovative solutions, bringing them closer to what matters most, and this development is yet another testament to that.
